藥理﹕

Invitro of 62.5mg per ml of bian dou huo  decoction can inhibit the growth of Shigella sonnei, Flexner's bacillus.

每毫升含生藥62.5mg的扁豆花煎液在試管內可抑制宋內氏型、弗氏型痢疾杆菌生 長。

Actions & Indications:

主治﹕

To relieve summer heat rid of dampness; to improve digestion and correct pixu condition. For treatment of summer heat injury, dampness, fever, diarrhea, dysentery, vaginal discharge, swelling form impact injuries.

解暑化濕，和中健脾 。主夏傷暑濕，發熱，泄瀉，痢疾，赤白帶 下，跌打傷腫。

Take orally; in decoction 3-9 g, or make into powder or make into juice.

External application: appropriate amount, smash and apply.

內服：煎湯，3-9g；或研末；或搗汁。外用：適量，搗敷。

處方舉例﹕

For treatment of different types of diarrhea: bian dou hua ( choose those while blooming). Do not wash. Blanch in boiling water. Use one pig tenderloin, one green onion. seven pepper corn, some sauces and mix well. Use white floor and make ravioli.  Baked. Take orally. "Source: Must Use Food Therapy (必 用食治方)"

For treatment of heavy white vagina discharge （bai beng): bian dou hua  (do not use purple color ones) . bake and dry the herb. Make into powder. Make with thin rice porridge with some fire rendered salt. Drink while stomach is empty. "Miraculously Effective Remedy 奇效良方."

1. 治一切泄痢：白扁豆花正開者，擇淨勿洗，以滾湯瀹過，和小 豬脊肉一條，蔥一根，胡椒七粒，醬汁拌勻，就以瀹豆花汁和麵, 包作小餛飽，炙熟食 之。《必用食治方》
    

2. 治婦人白 崩：白扁豆花（紫者勿用）焙乾 扁豆花為末，炒米煮飲入燒鹽，空心服。《奇效良方》。
