estradiol  C₁₈H₂₄O_{2      雌二醇; 雌甾二醇}

Estradiol is one of the 3 estrogen (a female hormone): estrone (E1), estradiol (E2), produced by the ovaries, but also in the placenta, testes and adrenal cortex.

This is the main estrogen produced by the female body during the reproductive years.

It is used in estrogen therapy. This is the strongest estrogen in relieving the symptoms of hot flashes, genitourinary symptoms (like uterine bleeding, dry vagina), oesteoporosis, mood issues, coronary-artery diseases.
