主治﹕

1. Raw gu ya is good for helping digestion, soothing the stomach and promote digestive juices. It is being used in weak digestion, flatulence,  and/or foul smelling mouth. When using it raw, it should be steeped in decoction after it is ready.
2. Stir fried gu ya is good for helping digestion and ridding of stagnant food in the digestive tract.
3. charred gu ya (jiao gu ya) can also stopping diarrhea.

1. 生穀芽長於消食，和胃生津。用於食積不消，腹脹口臭，脾胃虛弱，不飢食少。生穀芽須冲服。
2. 炒穀芽則增強健脾消食作用。
3. 焦穀芽則兼可止瀉。
