Progressive Heat Consumption (Gu Zheng Lao Re)

骨蒸勞熱         (in English and Chinese 中英文)

gu zheng lao re is a term used in Traditional Chinese medicine.

Symptoms: dry skin, annoying warm, dry mouth, dark urine, fatigue, hot flashes, flushed cheeks, night sweats, and progressive emaciation.

Prescription: fu xiao mai,  xuan shen, mai dong, sheng di huang, di gu pi. Make into decoction. Use as tea.

If there is sign of damp heat (infection) add herb like huang bai to control the infection.

If it is caused by lung tuberculosis it should be treated accordingly.

症狀﹕皮膚干燥,心神煩熱,口乾,小便赤黃,疲倦,潮熱矔紅,盜汗,﹐漸漸消瘦。

 

處方﹕浮 小麥玄 參麥 冬生 地黃地 骨皮

 

如有感染酌加黃 柏等去濕熱藥物。如是肺结核須辨証治療。

 

水煎服。
