 It is a type of alkaline amino acid hydrolized from different types of protein. It is the only carrier of a side chain primary amino group in proteins, having important structural and chemical roles.

Lysine deficiency symptoms include fatigue, weakness, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, loss of appetite, growth retardation, anemia, etc.
