Name of Formula: si shen wan 《source: Zheng Zhi Zhun Sheng 》

Application: tonic for correcting spleen deficient and kidney deficient. For diarrhea due to spleen and kidney deficiency.

Constitution of formula:

bu gu zhi 4 liang (soak with rice wine overnight and stir fry till dry), wu wei zi 3 liang (stir fry), rou dou kou 2 liang (wrap with flour and bake), wu zhu yu 1 portion (soak with salt water).

sheng jiang 8 liang (cut into slices), da zao 100 pieces. Cook sheng jiang and da zao till da zao become mushy. Remove and discard sheng jiang. Mix  with all herbs and grind into paste and make into small pills. Take 7.5 g with salted water before bed time.

Note: 1 liang = 37.5 grams (old measurement)

方名： 四神丸 《方源：證治準繩  》 

主治：治腎瀉脾瀉。

組成：
補骨脂 四兩酒浸一宿炒 ， 五味 子 三兩炒 ， 肉荳蔻 二兩麵裹煨 ， 吳茱萸 一兩鹽湯炮 。
用大棗百 枚，生薑八 兩，切片同煮棗爛，去薑取棗肉搗丸，每服二錢，臨睡用鹽湯下。
