 Stapedectomy is a surgical procedure performed to improve hearing, by removing the innermost bone of the three bones (the stapes, the incus, and the malleus) of the middle ear, and replaced stapes with a small plastic tube surrounding a short length of stainless steel wire.

鐙骨切除術是一種改善聽力的外科手術。中耳最裡面的骨的三個骨（鐙骨，砧骨，錘骨）。鐙骨被去除，並且替換為一個小塑料管周圍的短的長度的不銹鋼絲。
