處方舉例﹕

For treatment of pain caused by stone in urinary tract:

Use tao jiao the size of dai zao and mix with 300 cc of drinking water. Take 3 times a day. (Use cool drinking water in summer and warm drinking water in winter.)[1]

For treatment of diabetes: wash tao jiao with luke warm water. Cook in a small pot. Add any flavoring if desire but do not add sugar. Take orally 30 to 60 grams each time. [2]

治石淋作痛：桃木膠如棗大，夏以冷水三合，冬以湯三合和服，日三服，當下石，石盡即止。(《古今錄驗方》

治糖尿病：桃膠，用微溫水洗凈，放在小鍋內煮食，隨便加些調味鹽類亦可(但不要加入甜味)。每次服一至二兩。(《草藥驗方交流集》)
