Actions & Indications:

主治：

For internal use it is similar to da huang: nose bleeding, functional bleeding of the uterus, purpura due to thrombocytopenia, chronic hepatitis, inflammation of the anus, constipation. Fresh squeezed juice is effective for fungus infection of skin, hemorrhoids, inflammation of the mammary glands, and eczema. Taken internally causes diarrhea. Do not substitute yang ti with da huang for external use.

鼻出血，功能性子宮出血，血小板減少性紫癜，慢性肝炎，肛門周圍炎，大便秘結, 內服可致腹瀉。外用治外痔，急性乳腺炎，黃水瘡，癤腫，皮癬。

外用不能用大黃代替。

處方舉例：

1. For constipation: yang ti 8 g,   gan cao 3 g, water 300 cc. Boil down to 150 cc. Take orally.  

2. Yeast infection formula 

1. 便秘：羊蹄 8 克， 甘草 3 克。加水 300 毫升。煎至150 毫升。口服。

2. 按此看：念珠球菌感染， 白帶藥方。

注意/禁忌:

It contains oxalic acid. Using large amount can be toxic to the kidneys.

Note: Although yang ti is also called tu da huang but tu da huang is not da huang.. External application can not be substituted with da huang..

羊蹄含草酸，應用大劑量會對腎臟有毒。

註﹕羊蹄雖名土大黃﹐但是非大黃。內用與大黃相似。外用不能用大黃代替
