da cheng qi tang  大承氣湯   （in English and Chinese 中英文)

Name of Formula: da cheng qi tang (Source: shang Han Lun)

Application: dry mouth, thirst, desire to drink water, delirium, senseless speeches; fullness and firmness in abdomen due to serious constipation.

Composition:

da huang 16 g, hou po 3 g, zhi shi  8 g, mang xiao 6 g.

Make into decoction. Use as tea.

Note: This is one of the ten famous herbal formulas

藥方名：大承氣湯(傷寒論)

主治﹕嚴重便秘，腹滿痞硬，口乾欲飲水，甚至神昏，亂語。

大黃 16 g (後下煮6 分鐘，不可久煎).， 厚 樸  3 g，枳 實 8 g，芒硝 6 g.

水煎服。

註：此是中藥十大名方之一
