sweet, slightly bitter, cool.

甘 ， 微苦，涼。

Dosage:

用量﹕

For decoction: 15 to 25 g. Also can be  in pill or powder form.

External use: smash and apply to affected areas.

煎湯，15~25克，或入丸, 散。外用：搗敷。

:處方舉例﹕

For acute hepatitis B

ji gu cao soup:

Ingredients: ji gu cao 38 g, bai hua she she cao 15 g, chi xiao dou 38 g, lean pork 110 g, sheng jiang   (raw ginger) 3 slices, hong zao 5 pieces, (cut open). Rinse all ingredients. Add water and make into soup.

 

急性乙型肝炎

雞骨草湯﹕

原料﹕雞骨草一兩(檢掉種子), 白花蛇舌草 四錢, 赤小豆一 兩, 瘦豬肉三兩, 生 薑 三片, 紅 棗五 枚切開。各原料以水洗淨。加水燒湯。

Toxicity & Cautions:

毒素與禁忌﹕

 Use care if the body is weak. The seeds are toxic and should be removed. Do not substitute with Abrus precatorius L. which is toxic.

虚寒體 弱者慎用。雞骨草種子有毒須檢掉。相思子有毒。不可用來代替。
