Seed contains:種子含:

evaporating oil, composed of 26 hydrocarbons, 17 esters, 16 aldehydes, 12 ketones, 31 alcohol, 11 alkali, the two acid etc揮發油 (由26個 烴類、17個酯類、16個醛類、12個酮、31個醇、11個鹼、2個酸等組成)
Oil of seed contains:linoleic acid:種子油含亞油酸:
cis-5,9-octadecadienoic acid,須-5，9-十八碳二烯酸
cis-5,9,12-octadecatrienoic acid須-5，9，12-十八碳三烯酸
11,14-eicosatrienoic acid,須-5，11，14-二十碳三烯酸cis-5

Daly Dosage:

每日用量﹕

take orally in decoction: 10-15 g; or add to pill or to cream.

內服：煎湯 10～15 克。或入丸，膏中。

Samples of formulae:

處方舉例﹕

For treatment of chronic arthritis, weakness and shot of breath, consumption, coughing and spitting phlegm, gu zheng and sweating absentminded, lack of appetite, spermatorrhea.

Prescription: song zi 1 portion, mai dong (do not remove cores) 2 portions, jin yin zi 1 portion, gou qi zi 1 portion.

Cook with water and render into paste. Add refined honey as preservative.  

Dosage: Take about 10 to 20 table spoonful with drinking water every morning and evening.

 

Feng Sui Tang

Application: Coughing with heat in lung

Composition: song zi 30 g, walnut 60 g. Grind into paste. Mix with refined honey. Use 6 g each time. Put in boiling water. Take after meal.

 

治風痺寒氣，虛羸 少氣，及五臟勞傷，咳嗽吐痰，骨蒸盜汗，心神恍惚，飲食不甘，遺精滑泄：松仁八兩，麥 冬（不去心）一斤，金櫻子、枸杞子 各八兩，熬膏，少加煉蜜收。每早晚白湯調服十余茶匙。（蘇軾）

 

鳳髓湯: 治肺燥咳嗽：松子仁一兩，胡桃仁二兩。研膏，和熟蜜半兩收之。每服二錢 ，食後沸湯點服。（《玄感傳尸方》鳳髓湯）
