xue xu, Blood Deficient 血虛  (in English and Chinese 中英文)

Blood deficient or xue xu is a term used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Syndromes:  weak body with pale complexion, pale lips, pale nails, dizziness, palpitation, insomnia, numbness in limbs, pale tongue, thin and weak pulse, hypomenorrhea with pale color blood.

Biochemistry: blood deficient (xue xu) patients have lower levels of RBC, HGB, HCT, MCH, MCV, Sa0₂%, PLT, WBC than those of normal people. 【1】

Therapy:

Conditions of blood deficient are usually accompanied with qixu (qi deficient). Use si wu tang :  tang gui,  shu di, bai shao, chuan xiong

Adjustment:

If qixu (qi deficient) : add dang shen, huang qi, gan cao, shan yao

血虛症候群:
頭暈眼花，心悸失眠，手足發麻，面色蒼白或痿黃，婦女月經量少，閉經等。

生化指標：

血虛証患者的紅細胞， 血紅蛋白， 血氧飽和度，血小板，白細胞生化指標處於低水平狀態, 而紅細胞， 血紅蛋白，紅細胞平均血紅蛋白量， 血氧飽和度等指標的減少尤為明顯,與血虛狀態呈負相關。【1】

血虛症的治療
四物湯 (太平惠民和劑局方 )

當 歸 10 克 ，  熟 地 15 克 ，  白 芍 12 克 ， 川 芎 6 克 。

水 煎 服 。

加減:

血虛兼有氣虛 : 加 黨參，黃耆，甘草，山藥
