acrid, sweet, slightly warm.

辛﹐甘，微温。

Actions & Indications:

主治﹕

  1. For treatment of:

  2. blurry vision and headache due to wind chill;

  3. stiff neck and pain back;

  4. wind cold and damp type of joint and muscle pain;

  5. spastic and tight limbs;

  6. tetanus;

This herb can relieve pain and does not create dryness.

 

治:

  1. 外 感 風 寒 之 頭 痛 目 眩 ，

  2. 脊 痛 項 強 ，

  3. 風 寒 濕 痺 ，骨 節 酸 痛 ，

  4. 四 肢 攣 急 ，

  5. 破 傷 風 ，

 

祛 風而不燥。 為風藥中之潤 藥 。

Chemical ingredients:

化學成份﹕

fangfengalpyrimidine  , clemiscosin A , 5-hydroxy-8-methoxypsoralen, sec-O-glucosylhamaudol , hamaudol , nodakenetin , prim-O-glucosylcimifugin , cimifugin , 4'-O-beta-D-glucosyl-5-O-methylvisamminol , 5-O-methylvisamminol , marmesin , adenosine , daucosterol ,  beta-sitosterol [1]

防風嘧啶(1),clemiscosin A (2),5-羥基-8-甲氧基補骨脂 素(3),亥茅酚苷(4),亥茅酚(5),紫花前胡苷元(6),升麻素苷(7),升麻素(8),5-O-甲基維斯阿米醇苷(9),5-O-甲基維 斯阿米醇(10),異紫花前胡苷(11),腺苷(12),胡蘿卜苷(13)和β-谷甾醇(14)[1]

Dosage:

用 量﹕

For ridding of wind chill: 3－9 g. Larger amount of more than 20 g are being used in muscle spasm.

用於外感風寒：3～9 克。用於脊痛項強 ，四肢攣急，有用多過20 克。

Cautions:

禁忌﹕

Use care in cases of blood deficient   or yinxu (yin deficient)  with heat and headache..

凡血 虛及陰 虛火旺頭痛者慎用。
