| Medical functions: 藥理﹕ | - Anti tumor effect: root of yu zan hua water extract use on whole animal test show that it has a high degree of anti-tumor activity of Ehrlich ascites tumor cells. The anti-tumor active ingredient is a polymer. Using yu zan huathe alcohol extract of 0.25g/kg for oral or intraperitoneal injection, six days in a row, it showed an inhibition of murine leukemia L615. The inhibition rate of 28.5%.[1]

Daly Dosage: 每日用量﹕ | For oral consumption, in decoction: 3 - 6 g. For external use: use appropriate amount. Smash and apply. 內服：煎湯，3-6g。外用：適量，搗敷。 |
Samples of formulae: 處方舉例﹕ | For treatment of swollen throat: yu zan hua 3 g, ban lan gen 15 g, xuan shen 15 g. Boil with water and use as tea. For treatment of urination difficulty: Formula I Name of formula: yu long san (jade dragon powder) Composition: yu zan hua 6 g, she tui 6 g, ding xiang 3 g. Make into powder. Use 3 g each time. Stir with rice wine. Take orally. Formula II Composition: yu zan hua 3 g, bian xu 12 g, che qian cao 12 g, deng xin cao 3 g. Boil with water and take as tea. 治咽喉腫痛：玉簪花一錢，板藍根五錢，玄參五錢。水煎服。（《山東中草藥手冊》）
治小便不通：
㈠ 玉簪花、蛇 蛻各二錢，丁香一錢。共為末，每服一錢，酒調送下。（《醫學指南》玉龍散） ㈡ 玉簪花一錢，扁蓄四錢，車前草四錢，燈心草一錢。水煎服。（《山東中草藥手冊》） |
