bai hu jia gui zhi tang 白虎加桂枝湯  (in English and Chinese 中英文)

Name of Formula: Bai Hu Jia Gui Zhi Tang (Jin Gui Yao Lue)

Application: fever, no chill but hot, wind loathing, sweating but not thorough, dark red tongue, floating or floating and large pulse.

Today clinical usage:

1.Connective tissue diseases such as rheumatic fever, rheumatoid arthritis (active phase), Wissler's syndrome ( Wissler-Fanconi syndrome), rheumatoid arthritis, erythema nodosum, systemic lupus erythematosus fever, the sweating wind loathing, joint pain.
2. For malaria, pneumonia, encephalitis, heat stroke, childbed fever.

Composition:shi gao 50 g （smash),  zhi mu 20 g,  zhi gan cao 6 g, rice 6 g, gui zhi10 g

Boil with water. Make into 2 servings

Adjustment to the formula:

If there is damp heat but heat is heavy add：huang bai, huang qin,  shan zhi zi.

If there is damp heat but dampness is heavy add：yi yi ren,  fu ling, , can sha

If there is yinxu (yin deficient) add：sheng di huang,  shi hu,  mai dong

If there is qi deficient add ：huang qi,  dang shen

For arresting pain add:fang feng , sang zhi,  wei ling xian,  mo yao

If there isblood stasis add:fdang gui tail, bai shao,  dan Pi,  mu gua,  lue shi teng etc

藥方名：白虎加桂枝湯 《方源： 金櫃要略 卷上 》

1．發熱，身無寒但熱，口渴。
2．骨節煩疼、惡風、汗出不徹。
3．舌質暗紅，脈浮滑或浮洪。
[現代應用]
l，結締組織疾病如風濕熱、風濕性關節炎（活動期）、變應性亞敗血症、類風濕性關節炎、結節性紅斑、系統性紅斑狼瘡等出現發熱、汗出惡風、關節疼痛。
2．其他還用於瘧疾、肺炎、乙型腦炎、中暑、骨膜炎、濕疹、成人異位性皮炎、產後發熱等。

組成： 石膏 50 克 （打碎）， 知 母 20 克， 炙甘草 6 克，粳米 6克，， 桂枝10 克。水煎，分二次溫服。
加減：

濕熱而熱重者加：黃柏  、黃芩、山梔子等；

濕熱而濕重者加：薏苡仁、茯苓、六一散、蠶砂等；

陰虛者加：生地黃、石斛、麥冬；

氣虛者加 ：黃耆、黨 參；

祛風鎮痛加：防風、桑枝、威靈仙、沒 藥；

血淤 加：當 歸尾、白芍、丹皮、木瓜、絡石藤等
