xiao cheng qi tang 小承氣湯

Application: chronic constipation, hypertension, obesity, food poisoning, acute epilepsy of children, epilepsy, schizophrenia, food stagnation not digesting, diarrhea with blood, difficulty in urination.

Composition: da huang 9 g, hou po 4.5 g,  zhi shi 6.5 g.

Make into decoction and use as tea.

Adjustment to formula:

Edgy and impatient with external heat: combine with huang lian jie du tang

Edgy and impatient with xue xu (blood deficient): combine with si wu tang

Internal heat: combine with da chai hu tang

方名：小承氣湯

功能：消積導滯，散結除滿。

主治：傷寒陽明症，譫語，便硬，潮熱而喘及雜病，上焦痞滿不通，支飲胸滿。

本方常用於急性熱病，習慣性便秘，高血壓，肥胖症，食物中毒，小兒急癇，癲癇，精神分裂症，宿食不消，赤痢，尿閉等。本方主治在痞，滿之症。大承氣湯則痞，滿 ，燥，實四症皆有效。

組成：大黃 9 克 ，厚 樸 4.5  克，枳 實 6.5 克

水煎服。

加减：

1．表熱燥煩：合 黃連解毒湯
2．血虛煩熱：合四物湯
3．裡熱火鬱：合 大柴胡湯
4．火熱痞滿：加黃 芩, 黃 耆。 
5．消化不良，食慾不振，胃 脘滿悶：加蒼朮  ，陳皮。 
6．血虛高熱：加當 歸，生地黃。
